Upon departure of your order from our store we will send you an email confirmation including an eParcel consignment number (if the order has been sent through eParcel) and a link to use the consignment number to track the order. As of 2011 all orders under $100 have a flat rate postage fee of $8.50. Orders $100 and over offer included delivery costs. All items under $100 used to include a postage fee in the product's price which made buying multiple small items more expensive than it should be. By creating a flat rate postage cost of $8.50 for all orders under $100 we are able to offer more competitive pricing on smaller items. This also means that if you purchase a product over $100 you can include a cheaper item and not have to pay a freight cost at the checkout (saving you the money which was previously included to the cheaper item's price). |

By Law The Bike Shed Mortdale cannot sell complete bicycles in boxes however we are able to, once the bicycle has been payed for, have the bike assembled and checked over by our team of mechanics then prepared in a state which it is able to be transported by a freight company. Once the bike has been checked over and prepared for transport we will contact you to inform you that the bike is ready and from here the responsibility is with you, the customer, to organise a freight company to come and collect the bike and to forward us all consignment details related to the bicycle's pickup. All bicycles are thoroughly checked over for defects by our team of mechanics before being adequately packaged and prepared for transport. NOTE: We highly recommend selecting the "Transport Assurance" option when booking freight for your new bike from Smart Send. Transport Assurance through Smart Send procides cover against loss or damage from when the bike leaves our store until the bike arrives at your door. It is important that you check the bike's box for any signs of damage before signing for delivery. Once the bike is signed for, Smart Send are not liable for any damages which may have occured in transport meaning any Transport Assurance is void. If a relative, friend or colleague is to collect the bicycle on your behalf we require that you send us an email stating your full name, your order number and the full name of the person who you authorise to pick the bike up on your behalf. BMX Bicycles: we are able to send most BMX bikes through Australia Post's eParcel in a checked over and boxed up state. Any BMX which has an option for Freight in the product option area is able to be sent through eParcel. For the majority of BMX bikes we have a flat rate postage fee of $50 and, like all parts & accessories orders, you will be sent off the consignment number on despatch. |
